Yang Hyun-Seok (Hangul: 양현석; born December 2, 1970 in Seoul, South Korea) is a South Korean singer, most notably a member of Seo Taiji & Boys. He is also the founder, owner, and chief executive officer of YG Entertainment.

Seo Taiji & Boys

Seo Taiji & Boys was formed in 1991 with Seo Taiji, Lee Joono and Yang Hyun-Seok. The group was influential on the Korean music scene, famous for their single, "Nan Arayo" (Hangul: "난 알아요", "I Know"). The group received criticism for various albums, most notably for the song, "Shidaeyugam" (Hangul: 시대유감, "Regret of the Times"), to which the fan out lash led to the abolishment of the Pre-censorship law in 1996. The group disbanded in 1996, with each member pursuing solo activities.

YG Entertainment

In 1998, he established YG Entertainment and released his first solo album which featured a song composed by Seo Taiji. This was their first collaboration since the breakup. Yang Goon has produced fairly successful artists under his entertainment, most notably Jinusean, 1TYM, Se7en, Gummy, Big Bang, and his latest, 2NE1. And even more lately Tablo joined the company.

Personal life

In March 2010, Yang revealed that he has been dating former Swi.T member Lee Eun-ju, who is 12 years Yang's junior, for nine years.[1] Lee Eun-ju then gave birth to their first child on August 5, 2010 at 2:01 pm and is named Yang Yoo-Jin. [2]. In December 2011, It was announced that the couple are expecting their second child. [3]
